Online program for Bachelors in Education?

Anibal Scheid: There are a ton of online schools that offer Bachelor's degrees in Education, but I believe even the nobelest of these are scams. You can not get teacher certification in most states without student teaching and observation hours logged, as per your state's Department of Education regulations. Therefore, these BAs in Ed aren't worth the paper they're printed on. You can get a "provisionary" certificate with them though, so you could maybe teach for a year or two and never get paid well, or build up your pension.edit: However, I don't want it to seem like I'm 100% against online universities. Emilie Santmyer: If you want to teach music ed in public schools, you'll need to attend an approved teacher education program in your state. Check your state's department of education webs! ite. I doubt you can complete this online. How would you do your instrument methods courses online?! How would you go about your applied instrument lessons?! Ridiculous.
