Home Theater Setup Ideas?!?

Renita Sefton: If you are rich, get the seats that have a subwoofer built into them. My friend has some in his basement and they are awesome. You can find them online or at your local store but talk your parents into them, they are awesome, especially with video games. OH ya!! Get an Xbox 360 also.

Joellen Zorrilla: Visit your local Home theatre dealer. That does not mean going to Best Buy. You need to Visit the specialty store. All the screens, sound system etc.. will be there.

Timmy Bustard: Try to avoid the (HTIB) home theater in a box systems as most of these systems don't delivery the big theater effect. If you can, take the time to visit several specialty hometheater stores. Stores like best buy and circuit city may not have dedicated theater rooms to show off their equipment. They may not carry the high end electronics that deliver the big sound! Check out the link below to give you and your family an idea of some recomended equipment. Good luck.

Walter Scordino: One small idea is to utilize the empty space under the back of the stair steps to the basement. That's where we set the television with storage below it.

Buster Buchko: Lazy boy couches for twelve.Large suround systems and strobe lights for he parties in the basement.

Chris Coggins: If your thinking about setting up a theater you will need to know your room size. With this you will be able to determine how many rows of seats you would like. From there you can determine the size of the screen you would like. Generally this is half of the total distance away from the first row. After that you can look into what kind of projector your family would like. After the projector look at different receivers. Are you looking for 5.1 or 7.1. HD or not. Now if you have 2 rows of seats you will have to determine the height of your riser. Then place the furniture on the riser. Set up, and place the speakers. Then enjoy.
