Bryant Chaudhry: I am not aware of any insurance programs specifically catering to mental health, but I would suggest looking into a community mental health center--they often work on a sliding scale basis and only charge what you can afford based on your income. Also, if you do choose to seek a psychiatrist for medication, many doctors will charge a reduced rate for patients paying cash (in my case, I pay 75-80 dollars per session, once every 3 months). There are also many prescription assistance programs available through drug companies so you may likely be able to qualify for free medication if you find that you need it....Show more
