Krystal Cordovano: From my standing point, yes it's fine. I'm a vegetarian because of animal rights and not harming animals, and that's what vegans(people who don't eat any animal products like milk, eggs, etc.) CLAIM to be doing, but to me it sounds like a load of bulls.hit. It doesn't harm the chickens in any way at all to take their eggs, it's not like they're the ones with chicks inside. Don't worry about, and eat up.
Gus Leiby: i guess it's the same as milk, it just tastes and smells funny. And why is this in vegetarian? doesn't yogurt have gelatin in it?
Tyrone Disanti: make a pasta salad :-)
Dallas Bartolini: Eggs are not baby chicks; the egg is not fertilized. That's like saying that if a woman doesn't get pregnant every time she ovulates, then her period is abortion. It takes fertilization to make a baby!
Helen Zafar: If you can prepare something the night before, fried tofu is my personal favorite. Just cut up extra firm tofu into decent s! ized squares (not too small), dab the excess water off with a paper towel, fill a pan with any kind of cooking oil (I prefer grape seed oil because it remains non-toxic under high temperatures) and set the cubes in the pan. Let each side tan up (avoid burning them, they're good when crisp) and when done put them in foil and leave out or put in the fridge (if refrigerated they may become soft) and take with you to school along with some soy sauce for dipping. Deeeelic!...Show more

Rhett Kaines: How do! es milk expire?it's almost the same thing ;; i think
Codi Manchel: I love dried fruit! Like banana and apricot and pineapple and apple slices. I find fresh fruit ends up kind of soggy and yuck after sitting all day until lunch but dried fruit doesn't go off or funny...I also love wholegrain rye biscuits with either hummus, yummy tahini or vegemite! Heaps of people hate it but I love it, it's really tangy and tasty.
Matt Gerdeman: in general, the term vegetarian means someone who doesn't eat meat, which is a part of an animal, and vegan means no meat, eggs, dairy, etc. technically eggs aren't meat, because they are unfertilized, so I consider them to be more like dairy. what you choose to eat is a personal choice, you don't always have to put a label on everything. the reason I don't eat eggs is 1. because I think it's gross. and 2. it contributes to animal abuse (have you ever seen chickens being kept in battery cages? it's terrible!). I don't want to eat anythi! ng that would cause harm to an animal which is why I don't eat any meat or eggs, and I try to stay away from dairy as best I can....Show more
Mitchell Pickens: the yougurt will expire becuse the dairy in it and it gets old
Carmelina Enoch: Vegans absolutely don't.Some vegetarians do. FYI. Eggs are not an unfertilized chick. An unfertilized egg is not a chick. And an egg is not a chicken's period. No bird has a menstrual period. Stop listening to those stupid PETA ads that call an egg a period....Show more
Antone Bual: Yes, vegetarians can eat eggs and dairy, but vegans dont.
May Stands: Tyler- Looks like YOU have spun yourself up into a really tight web. Everything you wrote, you counted with your own "rational". Either you decide to eat eggs because you like them or you don't. There are variations of being a vegetarian. They range from aside from vegetables eat: eggs only or fish only, or a combo of both. You hear people throwing around terms like p! escatarian (eat fish only)...which I do not get...a fish is an animal i! n my book but whatever. I say to eat his/her own....Show more
Norris Rosener: A vegetarian can eat whatever they choose to eat. They all make accomodations with what they're willing to give up. Eat it if you want to.
Laveta Fathy: They sell hummus trays with pretzels and stuff of that sort at Publix, Wal-Mart, etc. You could cook a veggie burger and put spinach, mushrooms, and any of vegetables of your choice on it. They sell frozen patties in common grocery stores like the ones mentioned above. Fresh fruit maybe? You could pack almonds or trail mix. Naked brand fruit smoothies are yummy, and they're sold pretty much at every convenient or grocery store. You could also just pack a water to drink. Izze sodas are pretty satisfying and they're just 100% fruit juice with a splash of sparkling water. They're a bit expensive though. Maybe Wheat Thins? That's all I can think of right now. I hope I helped!...Show more

Fred Caminita: I'd go with no.It had the potential of life.I don't know. They make up their own rules.
Jorge Detlefs: Yes. It's not meat. It is however an animal 'product' like milk and cheese. So if you're vegan you probably don't wanna eat it. But being an ovo-vegetarian. It's fine....Show more
Eleni Mccier: Well, I'm not a vegetarian, but I do know that like anything else you really should have a slow transition into it. Do you still plan on eating fish? I don't really know if it's meat or not, but I don't consider it meat. If you do become a vegetarian, you need to make sure that you still eat everything tha! t you need to eat in a day. But you need to make a slow transition into! it. How much meat do you eat a day and how much veggies do you generally eat in a day? Maybe if you have 2 pieces of meat in a day, cut it down to one piece, but maybe cut that in half so you still have it twice a day, but you're eating half of what you normally eat. And add in more veggies, maybe add in a serving of fruits/veggies. Slowly change how you eat. Eventually add in more fruits and veggies and take out more meat. Then eventually eat meat every other day and then every few days. And then make it once a week and then once a month and if you go slowly then it should be a lot easier. But next time your mom or dad goes to the store, go with them and ask if you can pick up a bunch of different fruits and veggies to find out which ones you really like. Good luck!...Show more
Jose Bouliouris: I think the dairy part curdles (seperates into curds and whey)At that point it should taste sour. I could be wrong.Either way, mold or 7-10 days after the sell by date are g! ood indicators.
Roselee Mczeal: I don't get how a cup of yogurt can expire if its completely sealed and has been in a fridge. If it has live cultures in it, do they die and that is how yogurt expires? And when it does expire, what is does the yogurt look/taste like?
Florencia Manolakis: im not a chemist. but im sure the protiens break down and different bacteria grows instead, or the good ones die off while the milk parts go rancid.. they have preservatives for a reason. why not get a 50 cent thing of generic yogurt and find out what it looks like/tastes :-p
Gaynell Pizzaro: ok... soo for the last 17 years of my life i have been a carnivore... i eat only few vegetables of my whole life.... I want to change to a vegetarian now... how? is it hard to change? will something happen to my life? what are the benefits of being a vegetarian?
Misty Vagle: whatever you do do not eat jello for it has gelatin in it. gelatin is nasty. look it up.tofu nuggets with ! your favorite seasonings and dairy free sauce is awesome.i havn't made ! any quite as good as the ones i got at Earth Fare though. SOOO GOOD!!!!! :D
Elfreda Grossen: you can't find bread that has not dairy? OK, so make everything in a flour or whole wheat tortilla. tortilla w/ peanut butter and bananas in side. or make vegan wraps with the tortillas, like with salad stuff inside. or what about bagels? bagels are vegan. you can make sandwiches out of bagels. plain potato chips/tortilla chips. and apple, orange banana, cliff granola bars are vegan. good luck!
Aron Ramu: It's more like chicken placenta. Though it's unfertilized, so some veg's think it's OK. Others would disagree. it depends on why your a vegetarian. If you think it's morally or ethically wrong because of mistreatment of animals, then no, don't eat eggs. If you just are trying to avoid meat, then eggs are OK.
Barton Sease: I think that once you turn into a vegetarian you gain self pride, don't be one of those vegetarians which get mad at their friends for ea! ting meat, keep it to yourself because you wouldnt want someone bugging you about what you eat right?I have been a 'partly' vegetarian (partly because I am still making the transition lol) for a year and a half only, and first I stopped eating meat and then I stopped eating poultry and now I have stopped eating fish too. It is really not hard to change, instead of having meat at lunch eat spaghetti with tomato sauce and cheese. It is a decent meal! Also, eat your veggies to be healthy, I love veggies, I began loving them more now and they are delicious you just have to try and see which ones you really like, I am a fan of broccolis and green pepper too. You can make this transition in slow steps or you can go all in, either way you will automatically make yourself healthier and saving the enviroment and of course animal rights....Show more
Coleman Deliberato: Eggs are ok for vegetarians. I have omelettes all the time! Not ok for vegans though, or strict vegetarian.
Cortez Badolato: I'm in 8th grade, too.I used to make pastas, or br! ing the microwaveable pasta cups. I'd make fruit salads and salads now a days. An old teacher there used to have oat meal for us, is eat that, too.
Marcellus Exler: Some vegetarians eat eggs, some don't. You need to decide for yourself..
Mikel Bethay: i like mini carrots, trail mix, pineapple cups, mashed potatoes, tortilla chips and salsa. Oh maybe not salsa for the kids. hehe!
Blaine Connett: I'm also in 8th grade and I'm a vegetarian so I think I can help. Do you not eat bread? If you do sandwiches and wraps with pbj, cream cheese, hummus, veggies, honey and basically what you want are good. I always pack an apple, sandwich and yogurt. You could pack vegan yogurt, Oreos, crackers, bars, veggies or vegan cheese sticks. Make quesidialls with vegan cheese and pack those. Bring fruit too. Apples, pears, plums, peaches, grapes, raisins, apricots, bananas and kiwi are yummy....Show more
Tory Clapper: Yes most vegetarians continue to eat both eggs and! dairy products. Vegetarians don't eat animals, or byproducts of slaughter. (Gelatin, lard, rennet, etc.) Since milk and eggs do not come from dead animals, they are considered appropriate for vegetarian consumption.
Danyell Rowback: I'm in 8th grade... what could I pack for school lunches that's vegan? We don't have bread without milk. And I don't really want to use utensils.. so finger foods? Just some ideas would be appreciated~ thank you (:
