Clare Hoard: It's remarkable that the Dem candidate is not way ahead of the Rep candidate in late August. When was the last time that happened?I still think that Obama is going to lose to McCain in November - and not by a little bit, either. His initial reaction to the Soviets' (oops, the "Russians" - my bad ;-) invasion of Georgia was so tepid and weak that any independent concerned with national security will now have dropped Obama like a hot potato....Show more
Bryant Chaudhry: They are not accurate. During the 04 election even the exit polls showed Kerry leading by a wide margin. CNN shows Obama leading, Fox News shows McCain leading so no, obviously they are not reliable.
Herma Ellebrecht: Well he's the only one. The rest of America knows who he was talking about, and that all that really matters. Obama is toast.
Ira Porietis: The LIBERAL media has been biased with the information they are using. Take SNL for example, they could make fun of the! fact Hussein is Obama's middle name and that Obama said he was a muslim in his book. They didn't touch this topic with a ten foot pole even though the irony of it is hilarious. They didn't make fun of the fact that Hamas is hiding Osama and that Hamas supports Obama and Obama sounds like OSAMA. This is funny crap!! Why didn't Amy Poelher rap about that? I wonder.....Show more
Geraldo Mccalla: Considering Carter had a 10 point lead before the debates over Reagan, I would consider McCain being dead even with Obama in mid August very interesting. Trend analysis would suggest that Obama's "newness" and character issues are wearing down his support while McCain's fatherly status is actually improving McCain's public perception. The age and Bushness accusations do not seem to be sticking. How about you? Why is the "ole man" McCain doing so well against "the One"? Seems to me that IF Obama was so "great" he should be totally spanking McCain across the board, but he ! is not....Show more
Bryan Avinger: the rabbit is so far ! out in front, it's not even close, regardless of what some of these polls "apparently" show.Honestly, I don't see how McCain can even make this a serious contest given the fact that he has his own personal issues (divorce, extremely old age, etc...) while he's up against a modern-day MLK in a year where the country is dying to elect a democrat over a republican.so in other words, I don't really trust whatever poll you're citing......Show more
Ambrose Mumma: http://obama.senate.gov/speech/060717-statement_of...I explicitely disrecommend all wannabe voting help sites which contain 'smart' 'expert' 'truth' or similar shallownessrespectively flattery for transparent reasons - not serious.
Bethanie Menden: All the democrats are in favor of embryonic stem cell research. It's not about the science or helping people with disease/disability. It's all about their abortion rights platform.
Davida Gisriel: you are confusing overall polls with state polls. overall po! lls show obama in the lead. depending on your state it will vary greatly.
Lizzette Wendroth: Every single exit poll, even on FOX News said that Kerry was ahead last elections. Polls mean nothing. Wait until election time. That's the only "poll" that matters.
Wilfred Santacruce: No. Obama is so far ahead he has enough electoral delegates already to win so get used to it
Bob Nakamoto: You have been seriously mislead. The polls have been accurate in 90% of presidential elections and there is every indication that they will be right this time as well. I can tell you have been listening to some extremely biased GOP members that refuse to admit that Mccain's campaign has made some of the most significant blunders in US history.
Octavio Roylance: As sooooo many people have said before, the only poll that matters is on Novermber 4th. Polls are largely inaccurate to a point that I am not sure why people follow them so closely.
Patricia Dornbos: Yes,! absolutely
Lucille Saetteurn: they tie, Obama pulls ahead, they ! tie again, it's just the way it goes. looking at a daily poll and watching for the one day that they're tied is not going to give you a clear idea of the direction of the race.PS, nobody is looking at day to day "trends". You are putting too much significance into a one day poll. PS, Obama has been on vacation. He's not actively campaigning so that's got to temporarily make him slip....Show more
Derrick Kloke: Don't listen to the poll just wait for nov 4.
Donte Schoenhals: He agrees that the comment Barack Obama made wasn't at all how republican are playing it out to be..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXokM9TaxeA
Bethany Blocker: even regardless of the actuality that he's a creationist and fundie, Huckabee takes "maverick" positions on some subject matters that upsets the frenzy Limbaugh wing of the Republicans and promises the impact that he's extra "compassionate", this case in point. So he's utilising the mantle of "compassionate conservatism" that ! Bush utilized in the initiating. i'm not gonna lie, even regardless of the actuality that he's a fundamentalist, i do not imagine i will say he's sleazy regardless of the indisputable fact that i comprehend what trick he's pulling, yet i imagine he's between the few who believes what they say, even regardless of the actuality that he's incorrect on a lot in significant approaches and needs a theocracy, which we hammer Palin and Gingrich for. So i wager i ought to take him over Romney, Gingrich, or Palin if I had to. he's civil, compared to such countless others, so he'd be sturdy as a boy scout chief, in simple terms not as president. i do not want a president to illustrate any compassion in the direction of PETA, regardless of the actuality that. They hate each little thing human beings stand for. they're terrible human beings devoted to creating human beings depressing....Show more
Venetta Coulbourne: These are overall polls....not state by state.
Elaina Adolf! son: Its so simple and obvious you would think it wouldn't work huh? S! hows how many people think for themselves!! I have faith - lets see if the majority of americans are sheep or if they actually think for themselves.
Dominic Sciancalepore: Yes he does. I wish he was elected instead of McCain. The guy had good ideas and didn't believe war was the answer to our problems.
Lauri Ohl: I think he really got hurt by his response to the Russian invasion of Georgia. In a peaceful, relatively stable world - I think Obama would have a good shot. But this world is simply too hostile, too volatile, too unpredictable right now. I used to think Obama would win, but he is not wearing well. I now predict a McCain victory. ...Show more
Randall Twehous: I agree that it wasn't all that big of a deal, but think about it this way. What if McCain said something like "you can put a dress on a monkey, but it is still a monkey?" How much outrage would there be for something like that. It is just funny how Palin made reference to lipstick in he! r speech, then Obama used that saying.
Ardelia Liptow: The media is just brainwashing people that Obama is in the lead. I doubt they are accurate.
Wally Gower: About as accurate as ACORNYes, the media does poll to show the results they wantNo, it is not the Bradley effectYes, a poll is only as good and honest as the person who takes the poll.
Jerrod Guilfoil: I agree with Huckabee, and even though I am no fan of Obama and planning right now at least to vote for McCain - I am willing to give Obama a pass on it too. That is a common enough expression that it takes a pretty big leap to find offense in it.Obama has said plenty of other things however, that ARE really insulting. I'm still not over his "bitter rural Americans who cling to guns and religion" comment....or his unflattering remark about Cubs fans....Show more
Derrick Cacioppo: I agree with mimilala, Anything can happen in the last day, heck sometimes if its close enough sometimes the last v! ote can change everything. Either way we are doomed though :D So kick b! ack and enjoy the ride.
Glynda Darrin: I am a Mike Huckabee supporter, I voted for him in the primary. And I'm now a Obama supporter, I'm glad Huckabee is not shooting out crocodile tears.
Danyell Rowback: This whole situation makes me ill. That phrase has been out there for years and both McCain and Obama have used it before. This really is ridiculous. Huckabee knows that this is nonsense, too.
Melvina Bieri: You live in Utah?Is your line of work psychology?
Sylvie Snetting: The majority of the national polls represent a dynamic demographic array of potential voters across the country. In essence; Obama is showing a lead in the national polls, but could be marginally behind in a particular "Red State".Obama-Biden 08
Gennie Shauer: people are beginning to see that we CHANGE and YES WE CAN are really just the same as any other Politician who has promised new and better change. Obama and his supporters think he is so new in this idea..lol..! .too much kool aid affects the brain, that is why we have liberals.
Stan Conley: Aside from the school desk speech, Huckabee has a lot of sense. He has a sense of humor and doesn't take himself ultra seriously. He also carries himself with a level head an a tinge of class. I would be far more supportive of the Republicans if he had won the nomination, not McCain. And its not just because of this. I always wanted a Obama vs Huckabee.
Cedric Grimstead: Finally someone see's the light! You are so right, with all the GOP problems,he should be. He is not. And people want him for President??? Not me!
Emerita Sciandra: Remember Dewey and Truman? Dewey supposedly had the race locked up, but it turned out differently than all the predictions. So I'm not terribly exercised by any polls about what will happen in November.Unfortunately, recent events in Georgia have stirred the public to a fever pitch, and McCain has made more bombastic speeches than Obama, though ne! ither one has any effect on the situation at all. Fear and an image of! safety will always attract voters, who usually can't distinguish between campaign rhetoric and reality....Show more
Long Woltjer: And if he adds Sarah Palin Rep gov of alaska as his vp he'll smash Osama with Hillary's own voter base.
Irvin Guiles: That is exactly what it is. The media specifically broadcasts to certain demographics in an attempt to bias their own straw-polls.They also try to push either/or of the candidates (which ever one they favor) to the public, in an attempt to slide the polls one direction. ...Show more
Rocio Karvis: I think the FEAR of Obama putting water pistols in place of M-16's will cost him the election. Obama initiated a great campaign, but lacks the character to bring home the sale...McCain by 10 points...or better. Wait until Bichelle speaks and a large crowd votes for the Clintons and the Clintons get in their pot shots....Show more
Jayson Brod: gore and kerry were ahead in around August. they were behind by this ! point. polls are not 100% accurate, but they're the most accurate thing we have and are roughly correct. National average, of many polls, show Obama ahead by around 6 points. There is as much evidence for a reverse Bradley effect as there is of the Bradley effect, either is speculation.
Pasty Cobbett: Gore won the popular vote if you recall. Bush/Kerry was within the margin of error of polling. It was the exit polling which suggested a Kerry victory. Obviously you're not looking at exit polls yet. In the run up to the '88 tilt Dukakis was clearly lagging in the polls behind Bush in October. I'm in my mid 30's and have seen a lot of elections. What this one reminds me of more than any is the Dole/Clinton election which ended up being an 8 pointer for Clinton. This sounds like wishful thinking from a McCain supporter to me. Sorry, but I think you're going to have brace yourself for a loss....Show more
Sammie Bocanegra: Out of curiosity, in which state do you li! ve? I'd just like to know which state to quit worrying about!
! Daria Verfaillie: Very well said. If Obama performs the same in debates against McCain as he did against Hillary, he will be history.
Efren Clankscales: I like what I hear about Barack, but I need to learn more before I officially endorse him. What are his views on this issue?
Weldon Totaro: That might be true if it were only one poll however virtually every poll has Obama ahead and if you look even at YA you will see that the vast majority of people on here are pro Obama.
Garrett Detone: You can check them all out here:http://www.expertvoter.org
Ulysses Failey: Dude, don't think Huckabee sides with Obama. He's just being fair. I'm from Texas. That lipstick on a pig is very common. Granted it ain't a compliment for sure? Obama probably used it cause of the "lipstick" remarks by Palin. Still, an apology is ridiculous. That phrase is an analogy. It is "not" calling someone else a pig, directly!!!
Lizzette Wendroth: The polls are not v! ery accurate. The polling companies do not allocate sufficient resources to make an accurate poll. The polling companies do polling and market research for private companies. The political polling is merely an advertisement for their commercial polling services....Show more
Katheryn Skrobacki: Don't ever believe in polls because as many know the media can make polls say what ever they want them to say. the only way to know who is winning is on election day when we decide who the president says, and polls don't account for the illegal voting schemes that most candidates come up with.
Brian Freedland: Well he's right. This is what Obama said:"Let's just list this for a second. John McCain says he's about change, too. Except -- and so I guess his whole angle is, "Watch out, George Bush, except for economic policy, health-care policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy, and Karl Rove-style politics. We're really gonna shake things up in Washington." That's n! ot change. That's just calling some -- the same thing, something differ! ent.
