Randal Deyarmond: references upon request is fine. Usually 3 references is the ideal
Tory Clapper: I'm talking about if the job interviewer does ask for references (on my resume it says "References upon request"). I keep a separate list of references and I am wondering what is the appropriate number.
Bo Perham: i think you must include the technical one because you are going for a computer networking job.
Jerald Florence: If it is for a resume I always put "references upon request", you don't need them on your resume. But if it is asked on an application I always put three. I would only put job references because they can vouch for your actually work, as where college professors can only vouch for your "assignments". Hope this helps and good luck with the interview! I am a manger and have been on many job interviews, so this is what I look for and what I've found the interviewer was looking for as well....Show more
Lynn Hollars: I would try to ! get 3 of both just to be on the safe side, but every application asks for like 3. I've never been to an interview where they asked for any though because they usually will call your references BEFORE the interview. I guess school systems are different. You just randomly got an interview without applying? How is that possible? Lol
