Can I apply for a green card?

Barton Morfee: As an overstayer or expired visa, the only way you could be granted a green card is if you are married to a US citizen, your spouse can file a petition for you and adjust your status, other than that, you have to go back home. It does not matter how long you lived here or speak english fluently, you're still subject for deportation and ban for reentry.

Rosalva Steinmann: nope. Only if you get married to an US citizen (and a real marriage, not fake) will get you a greencard. Why would you expect to get rewarded for being illegally present in the US?

Chi Alfero: no, there's no legal requirement to speak English to get a green card and you don't get extra points if you do. living here illegally, or as an overstay, doesn't provide the basis for a green card application either. so, without an immediate relative, there really isn't anything you can do.

Ardell Luy: No. All you can apply for is deportation. We do not (yet) reward criminals with gre! en cards based solely on the fact that they are criminals.

Willa Holte: Through which visa did you come to the US and when did the visa expire?

Kandi Lough: No. Nobody gets green card just staying in US for certain years, either legally or overstaying.
