Mack Ukich: You can try to sue the dealer, but chances are you bought the car As Is and you knew it hadn't been inspected. The fact that you weren't careful and bought his claims about why it wasn't inspected is going to hurt you in a case. It's kind of a 'buyer beware' situation.

It is hurtful and personal.Back to your question, I suspect you signed a bill of sale of some sort, which stated that the car was! being sold "As is and Where is" or words to that effect. Somewhere else in that paperwork you will find word something like "no guarantee stated, implied, or written." And on most it will say that no mechanical survey of the vehicle has been completed.
