Why don't people consider video games to be art?

It's basically an art game, but in two ways: it's a draw game plus it's a Japanese art-based game with the cell-shading, beautiful music and all that jazz so a lot cons! ider it more art than game. In reality parents or adults view video games as a waste of time. But just like cigarettes might be bad for you the companies make millions. Olen Penhallurick: I think that video games are art. I think that because a lot of time, planning, creativity, design, etc. have to go into making a video game. If ! you compare video games to paintings, people enjoy them like people pla! y and enjoy video games, so saying video games are not a form of art(and sometimes literature) is like saying painting or another form of art is not really art.
