First tattoo ideas based around performing arts?

Veta Slicker: Maybe do a mixture of stars and music notes together, nothing too big, and maybe incorporate the instrument you play aswell. A good place could be on your shoulder or ankle, somewhere that can be covered up easily.

Toshiko Reimers: You could get a simple Treble Cleff with stars around it to add a little color. You could get it on one side of your lower back, slightly above your hip. Had you been into drama, I'd have suggest the comedy/tragedy masks.

Devon Kalberer: Do you actually travel? Or is just the concept that appeals to you? Not really a starting point, but my right side is dedicated to places I've been that I've really enjoyed. My only catch for myself is that I have to go, I have to earn the ink, so to speak. As I go to new places, I find a photo I took and incorporate it into the existing tattoo. It takes me a few years to accomplish either (ex: went to Hawaii in 05, got ink for it in 09) so I'm sure its still a memory I'm fond of.

Luis Farlow: Oh year. I'm into ALL performing arts. From music, dance, drama. I do them all :)

Valentine Michaud: lol well lucky for you im an artist/ apprentice ;)behind the ear is a good spot if you wanna hide a tatt. something small and simple. ankle, or foot (feet tend to hurt), back of the neck even on the wrist. my first tatt was on the back of my neck and the next was on my wrist/forearm. heres a few ideas, but i gotta wrok today (at the tattoo shop). i could draw something up for you if you want and email it to you? my email is Kenna.Renee@hotmail.comlet me know if you want something drawn up :)http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5Fj0zJI_F-g/S7cpdNobcLI/...http://data.whicdn.com/images/971823/tumblr_ksmnhk...http://mogoel.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/trebl......Show more

Buster Buchko: I would suggest not getting anything with stars because everyone gets them and that's a very "first tattoo" tattoo idea. don't get anything on your arms or back because if you ! actually become a musician you'll be pissed that you did that ! when you get more tattoos later down the road (all musicians get tattoos.) Honestly...do your research and find a shop near you that does the best work (it's going to be pricey, but don't go anywhere else...I'm serious) go to them and talk one on one with an artist and ask him/her this question because they're actual artists and they'll have actual good ideas. Tell them you don't want anything douchey but you don't have any ideas because you've never done this before. Also, do not ever pick anything off of a wall or out of a book. You're welcome....Show more
