Davina David: full employment = everyone who wants to work is working. Not possible in real life as you always have frictional unemployment or structural unemployment (people who are not productive enough for them to be profitably employed, be it because of min wages or their wage would be not enough to pay for the transport to their job or even buy them the extra calories it would require them to be active eg Paris Hilton if she would need to get a job)
Brittney Inabnit: 40hours a week is considered full time job in ny an u get lots of benefits like health insurance etc depends on which job of course.
Rufus Plough: It is the situation where everyone willing and able to work is employed. Mostly this is a theoretical concept used as a yardstick, hardly a reality. You can see this link for the state of employment in the U.S. economy. http://fullemployment.org/
